Wayne Rooney is set to be at manager David Moyes' disposal when Manchester United face his former club Everton this weekend, according to a number of British newspapers.

Rooney, 28, was a doubt for Sunday's trip to Goodison Park due to concerns about a toe injury that affected his performance during last week's 3-1 loss at Bayern Munich.

But it is reported that the England international has told his boss he will be available to play as the Red Devils look to improve on their current position of seventh in the table.

Rooney has scored 15 goals in 27 Premier League appearances this season and will be out to add to that tally as United aim to make it three league wins on the spin.

Moyes is definitely without the injured Robin van Persie but midfielder Marouane Fellaini is expected to be fit enough for the match against his former side.
