Christian Eriksen wants Tottenham stay

Christian Eriksen has said in the Mirror that he intends to be playing at Tottenham Hotspur next season.

Brewin: Sherwood resigned to his fate with Spurs

Eriksen, 22, signed for Tottenham from Ajax last summer and after initially struggling to make an impact he has scored four goals in his last six appearances in all competitions.

And despite Spurs' struggles in the Premier League this campaign, Denmark international Eriksen is hopeful of improvement in the 2014-15 term.

He said: "For me the feeling I have at the club isn't dependant on being in the Champions League, I'm happy here and am looking forward to the future.

"Our aim now is to win all our matches so that we end the season with some confidence ahead of next year and if we do that we can see where it takes us in the table."

Eriksen was on target as Tottenham triumphed 5-1 against Sunderland on Monday night.
