• Fitch: No respite for Sherwood
• Crace: Rudderless Spurs

The Daily Star claimed on Wednesday that the Spurs centre-back was considering a switch to the Emirates Stadium with his White Hart Lane contract set to run out this summer.

The fierce rivalry between the clubs was intensified when Sol Campbell made the controversial switch to Arsenal when his Spurs contract expired in 2001.

With Thomas Vermaelen’s future at the Gunners uncertain, Arsene Wenger may be on the lookout for a centre-back this summer -- but Kaboul, 28, took to Twitter to deny the links.

Kaboul re-signed for Spurs from Portsmouth in 2010 after leaving the London club in 2008, though has spent much of the current campaign sidelined by injury.

The centre-back put through his own net in Spurs' 4-0 thrashing at Liverpool on Sunday to leave Tim Sherwood's side eight points adrift of the Champions League qualifying places.
