Bacary Sagna 'not close' to new deal
Arsenal full-back Bacary Sagna is still “not close” to signing a new contract, Arsene Wenger has revealed.

Sagna’s current deal at the Emirates Stadium expires at the end of the season and it is understood that the defender’s preference is to leave the club.
Sources have told ESPN FC that the France international -- who turned 31 on Friday -- initially wanted a three-year contract and close to 100,000 pounds a week.
However, Arsenal are reluctant to meet his demands given their policy of not awarding lengthy deals to players over the age of 30.
The Gunners, though, are apparently now more willing to bow to Sagna’s demands, with negotiations proving difficult.
Asked on Friday whether an agreement was close to being struck, Wenger confirmed that it was still some way off.
“No, he is not close [to signing],” he said. “It's an ongoing process.”
Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are believed to be interested in Sagna, who joined Arsenal in 2007 from Auxerre.
