Premier Showdown - January 11-13

It was yet again a comfortable victory for Tommy Smyth as he started 2014 the way he ended 2013 -- in style. He's turning into the Juventus of the predictions world by pulling clear at the top halfway through the season.

It's beginning to look like it will be a season of disappointment for the Rest of the World after coming so close to the title last season. But it's not that long since Tommy was propping up the league.

Next up for the ROTW we have Bryce Collin who comes from Auckland in New Zealand.

Bryce tells us: "Hi, I am a 13-year-old avid Arsenal and All Whites fan and enjoy playing soccer for the top team at my club and having fun with my brothers, especially playing soccer. I follow the Premier League closely and I think that if you gave me the chance to take on the experts that I could beat them at their own game. Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity!"

Bold words. Game on!

For each round of matches we invite someone to represent the Rest of the World and take on  ESPN FC TV's Tommy Smyth and ESPN FC journalist Dale Johnson in our predictions game.

Points are then awarded as follows:
- Three points for a correct result and scoreline
- One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the Showdown result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total Should the challenger win, the total is added to the Rest of the World tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared.

We want your entries for the next round of games - so get your selections in now!

An incredibly high-scoring round which Tommy just edges. It's exceptionally hard luck on Bryce, however. He got the correct result in nine of the ten Premier League games -- but not getting a scoreline right meant he finished third! Amazing.
