Dorrans will be only Baggies departure

Graham Dorrans is the only player West Bromwich Albion are willing to sell during the January transfer window, manager Steve Clarke has said.

Graham Dorrans has struggled with injury.
Dorrans could be on his way

Clarke, who saw his high-flying side throw away a two-goal lead to lose at Reading on Saturday, has already rebuffed bids from QPR for Peter Odemwingie and Jonas Olsson.

He stressed that Dorrans would leave only if an offer came in that was right for both the player and the club, but said nobody else would be going anywhere.

“No one is for sale except Graham Dorrans. We don't want to sell anyone,” he said. “The players know the situation. I don't think anyone really wants to go anywhere.

“There are one or two who've not been involved a lot that will look to go out, but that’s normal in any squad.

“The boys are all happy here. You see it every day in training. More importantly, you see it on a matchday. You can tell the squad is in a good place.''

Clarke, however, said he was prepared to let some of his younger players, including England Under-21 defender Craig Dawson, to go out on loan in order to gain experience.

“Craig is a top prospect and a top talent. He's been unfortunate that Jonas Olsson and Gareth McAuley have been outstanding, and also Gabriel Tamas when he's played,” he said.

“At some stage between now and the end of the season, if he doesn't get in the team here, I would like Craig to go out and get some games.”
