An injury-time equaliser from substitute Pelly Ruddock saw Luton fight back to earn a 1-1 draw with Bury.

The Hatters had been poor for long periods, but the former West Ham man came off the bench to rifle home a deflected shot past Rob Lainton to salvage a share of the spoils.

A disappointing first half saw the visitors come closest to taking the lead as Pablo Mills sent his effort from a corner straight at goalkeeper Mark Tyler, while Andrew Tutte curled narrowly wide.

Luton offered precious little threat with Paul Benson's header over and Andy Drury's off-target effort their only chances of note.

After the break, Matt Robinson fired a free-kick into the wall while Mark Cullen volleyed over the bar, but Bury broke the deadlock just after the hour.

NIcky Adams sent over a cross that was not dealt with by defender Steve McNulty, allowing Danny Rose to nip in and beat Tyler to the ball to score his second goal in four days.

Despite making all three changes, the Hatters never seriously tested Lainton until late on when Ruddock struck to rescue a point.
