Tunnicliffe joins Barnsley on loan

Manchester United midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe has moved on loan to Barnsley after Scott Golbourne was ruled out for the season, according to BBC Radio Sheffield.

Tunnicliffe, 20, spent time on loan with Peterborough last season but has only made two appearances for the Red Devils this campaign and goes straight into the Barnsley side for the trip to Bristol City on Saturday.

The midfielder was banned from driving for 18 months for drink-driving in October and also hit the headlines last year after his father won £10,000 after placing a £100 bet at 100-1 that his son would play for the United first-team when he was just nine years old.
