Blackburn sign striker DJ Campbell

Blackburn Rovers have strengthened their squad by signing striker DJ Campbell and midfielder Lee Williamson.

DJ Campbell's boots are in the spotlight
DJ Campbell is at Blackburn until the end of the season

Campbell, 31, joins the Championship club on a three-month loan from Queens Park Rangers, while Williamson has arrived on a free transfer, signing a contract until summer 2014.

Rovers had attempted to bring in Campbell on transfer deadline day. The former Brentford, Birmingham, Leicester and Blackpool player had been in impressive goalscoring form during a loan spell at Ipswich Town earlier this season.

Williamson had previously played for Blackburn manager Michael Appleton on a short-term deal at Portsmouth.
