Rowe woe for Wolves

Wolves manager Kenny Jackett does not have too many injury concerns ahead of his side's clash with Norwich at Molineux.

Wanderers have brought in Tommy Rowe from Peterborough and Rajiv van La Parra from Heerenveen since last season's runaway title triumph in League One.

Rowe will be unavailable for the start of the campaign after a month on the sidelines with a hairline fracture of his metatarsal but is on the road to recovery.

Bakary Sako (groin), Leon Clarke (back) and Jack Price (Achilles) are other players battling back from knocks as Wolves prepare to take on opponents who were in the Premier League three months ago.

Norwich manager Neil Adams is expected to hand debuts to summer signings Lewis Grabban and Kyle Lafferty when they begin life back in the Championship.

Strikers Grabban and Lafferty joined from Bournemouth and Palermo respectively and have been among the goals in pre-season, something which were in short supply for the Canaries as they were relegated from the Barclays Premier League.

Midfielder Gary O'Neil, another new capture, will miss out at Molineux through suspension after being sent off for QPR in their play-off final victory over Derby at Wembley in May, while Gary Hooper is a doubt with a calf problem. However, Alex Tettey is fit after a thigh problem.

Jonny Howson is absent after suffering medial knee ligament damage in the pre-season friendly against SC Bastia in France while Leroy Fer, who scored for Holland at the World Cup, is not included in the squad as he is on his own conditioning programme.
