English FA compiles match-fixing 'watch list'

A number of English-based players suspected of a connection to match-fixing have been put on notice to report any suspicious activity to the Football Association or face punishment.

Two businessmen have been convicted of planning to fix matches in the lower reaches of English football.

On Tuesday, a jury at Birmingham Crown Court found Chann Sankaran and Krishna Ganeshan, both originally from Singapore, guilty of conspiracy to commit bribery.

Conference side Barnet have announced that player-manager Edgar Davids has left the club by mutual consent.
