England announce pre-World Cup friendlies with Germany, Brazil
England wasted little time in announcing their next friendly games after sealing qualification to the 2018 World Cup on Thursday night.
A 1-0 win over Slovenia, thanks to a late goal from captain Harry Kane, was enough to seal progress and immediately after the game the FA announced two Wembley friendlies against world champions Germany on Nov. 10 and Brazil on Nov. 14.
Brazil and Germany are two of the most successful nations in the history of the World Cup.
The Germans have had the better of two out of the last three friendlies and won 1-0 in November 2013 and March 2017, though England picked up a 3-2 victory in March 2016.
England and Brazil met twice in quick succession in 2013 -- a 2-1 win in February for England was followed up by a 2-2 draw four months later.
