Jack Wilshere can get back into England squad - Eddie Howe

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has backed Jack Wilshere to make a return to the England squad.

Wilshere, currently on loan at Bournemouth from Arsenal, has failed to make the last two England selections, having been part of the squad that crashed out of Euro 2016 to Iceland.

But Howe is confident that with regular first-team football under his belt at Bournemouth, the midfielder will soon be able to add to his 34 Three Lions caps.

"He's one of the top technical midfielders in the country without a shadow of a doubt," Howe is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror. "If he's fit and firing he has to be high on their list.

"My most important aim is he performs well and makes a difference to this team like I know he can. If he can do that, and concentrate on his form here, then the rest will follow.

"If he's selected, he will do a job. I've no doubt about that. The quality is there. Making sure he can perform to his best levels physically is what we're trying to help him with. Games are what he needs."

England next face Scotland in a World Cup qualifier on Nov. 11, before playing Spain in a friendly four days later.
