England Under-21's Tammy Abraham out to follow Marcus Rashford's path

England Under-21s striker Tammy Abraham wants to emulate Marcus Rashford as he targets a Chelsea future.

The forward, on loan at Bristol City, scored twice on his full England Under-21s debut against Bosnia this week to send another message to the Stamford Bridge hierarchy.

Abraham is the Sky Bet Championship's eight-goal top scorer after joining the Robins on loan for the season and has 13 goals in 15 games for club and country this term.

Rashford, who has 12 goals for Manchester United since making his debut in February, made England's Euro 2016 squad and has earned five senior caps, scoring once.

"He is a good example for all the youngsters really. He is just a great player and he is getting a chance and he's performing," Abraham said.

"Every time you get that chance out on the pitch you just have to give your all and hopefully the chances will keep coming.

"I've played against him. I played against him two weeks before before his debut and it was phenomenal.

"We knew he was a danger for his team. This was at the under-18 level and in the Youth Cup and a few weeks later he went out and won the actual FA Cup so that was a dream for him and I'm happy for him.

"There are talented youngsters out there that just need to get given the chance."

The 19-year-old made two substitute appearances for Chelsea at the end of last season and, after taking the Championship by storm, he wants to return to Stamford Bridge and make his mark next year.

"My aim is to push as much as I can wherever I can and if I do go back to Chelsea just give my all and hopefully push for the first team," he said, with Bristol City travelling to Cardiff on Friday.

"A team like Chelsea is always going to be a hard team to break into but every time I get my opportunity I just have to give my all to perform."
