Hart confirms Terry 'flying' in training

Joe Hart has confirmed John Terry took a full part in England’s training session on Thursday.

Chelsea defender Terry is a major injury concern for England ahead of their Euro 2012 opener with France on Monday after coming off with a hamstring problem against Belgium at the weekend.

He made the trip to Poland and Ukraine despite failing to train with the squad prior to their departure on Wednesday. But with England manager Roy Hodgson looking for a boost, keeper Hart confirmed Terry was flying around the training ground.

“He was fine, flying round like he does,” Hart said at a press conference on Thursday. “It does not seem to be holding him back.”

The England camp was rocked by the news of the death of Jermain Defoe’s father and the striker has flown back home with the player in the thoughts of the squad.

Hart said: “It is a tough one to hear this morning and our thoughts are with Jermain. We hope he gets all the time he needs to do whatever he needs and we will be ready for him when he wants to return.”
