Leyton Orient have signed utility man Carl Hutchings from Southend United on a free transfer.
The 27-year-old midfielder signed an 18-month deal after his month-to-month contract at Southend expired.
Orient manager Paul Brush was delighted to get his man after admitting he had targeted Hutchings weeks ago.
He said: "I've been chasing him for a few weeks and he's an ideal player for us. He's experienced and versatile and will be a valuable member of the squad."
The former Brentford player has been a regular at Roots Hall this season, scoring five goals.
