Woodman seals Colchester switch

Goalkeeper Andy Woodman has left Brentford to join Division Two rivals Colchester United on a free transfer.

The popular goalkeeper has had his contract terminated by The Bees after spending a successful two-month loan period at Layer Road.

The 30-year-old, signed from Northampton for £75,000 two seasons ago, was a key member of Brentford's Division Three title-winning side but since the arrival of Ole Gottskalksson from Hibernian, he has found first-team football hard to come by.
