Dynamo extends home unbeaten streak vs. Chivas USA to 8

HOUSTON -- Geoff Cameron, Lovel Palmer and Dominic Oduro scored goals and the Houston Dynamo shut out Chivas USA 3-0 on Saturday.

The Dynamo got two saves from Pat Onstad and extended their home unbeaten streak against Chivas USA to eight games (6-0-2).

Chivas is winless in 10 straight games overall against Houston and has not beaten the Dynamo since a 3-2 win in California on Aug. 26, 2006.

In the 12th minute, just seconds after missing a shot of his own, Corey Ashe sent a pass up the middle for Cameron. Cameron got past two defenders, got the pass and fired a shot past Zach Thornton and inside the right post for a 1-0 lead.

Palmer, in his first start for the Dynamo, made it 2-0 eight minutes later when he fired from 25 yards away and beat Thornton high into the right corner of the net.

Oduro capped the scoring when he took a pass from Brad Davis and beat Thornton in the 64th minute. Mike Chabala finished with two assists.
