Edinburgh to ring changes

Newport boss Justin Edinburgh is expected to ring the changes when they welcome York looking to recover from their worst display of the season at Rochdale.

The Exiles were comfortably beaten 3-0 at Spotland and Edinburgh was furious with the performance from his side and a number of his first team will be sweating over their places.

Lenny Pidgeley looks set to continue in goal after a fine individual display which kept the deficit at just three goals while the likes of Conor Washington and Ryan Jackson will be pushing for starts.

Ismail Yakubu shrugged off a hamstring problem to start in their first loss since September 14 and the centre-back will hope to keep his place.

York will be boosted by the return of Josh Carson, Ryan Brobbel, Sander Puri, Chris Kettings and Lanre Oyebanjo for the game.

Midfielder Carson (Northern Ireland), on-loan Middlesbrough striker Brobbel (Northern Ireland Under-21s), winger Puri (Estonia) and goalkeeper Kettings (Scotland Under-21s) have all returned unscathed following international duty.

Oyebanjo has recovered from the thigh injury that kept him out for two matches and will vie with on-loan Burnley defender Luke O'Neill for the right-back slot.

Michael Coulson (foot) and fellow striker Chris Dickinson (ankle) remain sidelined as the Minstermen chase a third successive league win.
