Chievo head coach Eugenio Corini has identified a woeful away record as the reason behind the Flying Donkeys' inability to climb the Serie A table.
The Gialloblu may have claimed convincing home victories over Bologna, Sampdoria and Pescara, as well as taking points off Udinese and Fiorentina, but Chievo have not managed to pick up a solitary point on the road so far.
One point separates Corini's men from tomorrow's opponents, Siena, in the current league standings, despite the Tuscans having started the season with a six-point deduction.
Corini said: ``We're lacking something in away matches.
``The lads are improving, though, and we just need something to turn for us.''
Italy head coach Cesare Prandelli had some unexpected words of encouragement for Chievo this week.
``The atmosphere at Chievo will prove to be their strength,'' he said. ``Even if they are having some difficulty getting good results at the moment.''
Corini might be grateful to be back in Verona but making up the numbers remains a serious issue.
Defenders Nicolas Frey and Paul Papp are training separately in a late bid for fitness while Gennaro Sardo and Perparim Hetemaj serve suspensions.
Marco Rigoni and Davide Moscardelli are back in contention, though, with Bostjan Cesar and Dario Dainelli ready to partner up in central defence.
Siena boss Serse Cosmi will watch his team from the stands of the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi after losing his temper during Sunday's win over Pescara.
The Bianconeri tactician was ordered to leave the touchline after kicking a water bottle when Emanuele Calaio missed a simple chance to score.
``That's the second time this season,'' Cosmi said. ``It was a mad minute after our penalty was saved and we made a mistake up front.
``We could have put the drama behind us but I was furious with Calaio. So I had to leave the team to their own devices for 45 minutes and they played quite well.''
Siena are unbeaten in three outings and a record of three wins from their last four visits to Chievo provides a much-needed psychological boost.
