Michael Morrison is back in the Charlton squad for the visit of Brighton.
The defender missed last weekend's trip to south London neighbours Millwall through suspension after collecting five yellow cards this season.
Morrison's return to the starting line-up is not guaranteed, however, after Dorian Dervite impressed alongside Leon Cort in the goalless draw with the Lions.
Striker Ricardo Fuller missed out at The Den with a slight hamstring problem and he will be assessed, while full-backs Rhoys Wiggins (foot) and Lawrie Wilson (thigh) are set to miss out again.
Arsenal loanee Emmanuel Frimpong could return to the starting line-up after dropping to the bench last weekend.
Young striker Michael Smith has extended his loan spell at non-league Newport until January.
Brighton are without Andrea Orlandi and Lewis Dunk.
Spanish midfielder Orlandi has been ruled out for up to six weeks after suffering a broken rib against Crystal Palace last Saturday.
Defender Dunk is suspended having been sent off after just eight minutes of the 3-0 defeat to their derby rivals at Selhurst Park.
Full-back Marcos Painter is still out with a calf tear so boss Gus Poyet is desperately hoping Wayne Bridge and Adam El-Abd will shake off their injuries to ease his defensive problems.
Bridge has missed the last four games with a calf problem and El-Abd sat out the Palace game with a hamstring injury, and both will be handed late fitness checks.
