Robin van Persie scored to lead Feyenoord to a 3-0 Dutch Cup win over AZ Alkmaar on Sunday.

The former Man United and Arsenal striker, back with the first team he played for in his senior career, put his team up 2-0 in the 57th minute.

Nicolai Jorgensen scored in the first half and Jens Toornstra added a third in second-half stoppage time to help the fourth-placed team in the Eredivisie earn silverware in an otherwise disappointing campaign.

Dutch Cup penalty shootout replayed - three weeks after original match

The Dutch KNVB Cup featured an extraordinary turn of events in midweek when two sides were forced to replay a penalty shootout three weeks after the original match.

However, the Dutch FA subsequently declared that the referee on duty that night had incorrectly implemented the new ABBA penalty sequence and therefore the shootout had to be replayed using the correct, traditional ABAB system.

Netherlands seek video officials for next season's Dutch Cup

AMSTERDAM -- Dutch football authorities want video replay officials in next season's Dutch Cup competition as the sport rolls out live testing of the long-awaited technology.

But while FIFA president Gianni Infantino wants video replays to check controversial calls at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, officials who ran a workshop in Amsterdam this week want to make sure they nail down clear guidelines on exactly how it will be used before deploying the technology.
