Marc Overmars: No talks with Arsenal about a return as director of football

After Troy Deeney's comments about Arsenal, Craig Burley says clubs know they can easily push the Gunners around.

Marc Overmars has denied being in talks with Arsenal about a return to the club next summer.

Overmars played for Arsenal between 1997-2000 and is currently the director of football at Ajax, with speculation having mounted that the North London club are interested in bringing him back in a similar role.

However, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger denied last week that his former player is in line for a return and Overmars himself has also rubbished those reports.

Real Madrid youngster Martin Odegaard, currently on loan at Heerenveen, has suggested that he has extended his contract with the European champions.

Odegaard joined Madrid from Stromsgodset amid a wave of publicity in January 2015, when he was aged just 16, in a deal worth a potential €8 million.

Manchester United's Matty Willock loaned to Utrecht for season

Manchester United midfielder Matty Willock has joined Dutch club FC Utrecht on loan.

Sources have told ESPN FC that Willock signed a new two-year contract before agreeing the loan deal.

The 21-year-old will move to the Eredivisie for the rest of the season, a move that was confirmed by United in an official statement.

Willock has not made his United debut yet but has trained with the senior squad and was included on the substitutes' bench for Premier League games against West Brom and Crystal Palace...
