Wayne Hennessey to sign new Crystal Palace contract - sources

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey has agreed a new contract, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.

Hennessey is entering the final year of his deal at Selhurst Park and the club have offered the Wales international a two-year extension.

The 29-year-old joined Palace from Wolves in January 2014 and helped the club reach the FA Cup final last season as he made 38 appearances in competitions

Hennessey's future at Palace has been the subject of speculation this summer with Palace bringing in France international Steve Mandanda from Marseille during the transfer window.

However, Hennessey started Palace's opening Premier League game of the season against West Brom and appears to be Alan Pardew's first-choice keeper at this stage.
