Emmanuel Adebayor can trouble Arsenal - Palace boss Pardew

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has said he believes Emmanuel Adebayor can cause trouble for Arsenal's defence when they meet on Sunday.

Arsenal experienced a torrid time of it against West Ham United last weekend, after Andy Carroll plagued their defence to score a hat trick, and Pardew believes Adebayor can cause his former club similar problems, despite his poor form since signing for the club.

"In and around the group Ade has been great. And he has experience of where we are going at the moment," Pardew said.

Adebayor -- who was then out of contract -- was signed by Palace in January, but prior to that played with big clubs Tottenham, Man City and Arsenal, as well as a spell at Real Madrid on loan. Pardew hopes this experience will be an asset to Palace as they attempt to claw back enough points to avoid relegation.

Pardew said: "We have got big games coming up, we're going to Arsenal, Manchester United and the semifinal so we can lean on his experience of those type of games, and he is going to get some time in those three games for sure.

"I haven't really spoken to him about Arsenal and this particular game. But of course he'll fancy it."

Speaking about his team's chances against Arsenal, Pardew said: "I think it's documented that their set-piece record isn't great defensively and we are the best."
