Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew sat down with France midfielder Yohan Cabaye after the "devastating" scenes in Paris last weekend.
Cabaye was on the bench at the Stade de France last Friday when suicide bombers targeted the friendly match against Germany and also featured in Tuesday's international match against England at Wembley.
Palace are at home to Sunderland in the Premier League on Monday night, and Pardew says there is a willingness from his French players to be involved.
Pardew said: "We have had conversations with our French players to make sure their nearest and dearest were safe and well, which I can report they are.
"They were obviously affected by the tragic events but I think they all have a willingness to play on Monday and perform to their best abilities.
"Yohan played in the game [at Wembley], he was a little bit lost with the events as you can imagine. I thought the FA did a terrific job and so did the security around the stadium."
English defender Martin Kelly was in Paris at the time of the attacks and Pardew said he was naturally shaken.
He added: "I haven't seen a reaction that worries me with Martin.
"We are all affected by an incident like that. It's the first time terrorism has been involved with football and this is an unwelcome entry for us.
"We are all going to have to be diligent at the weekend and we are all going to have to be on guard.
"It's a high-profile game in terms of the TV coverage so everybody has to be respectful of what happened and diligent."
Pardew is hoping Palace's best start to the season in a Premier League campaign can continue with a win against the struggling Wearsiders.
The Eagles manager welcomes Marouane Chamakh back from a hamstring injury but there are concerns over Bakary Sako, who is facing a fight to be fit in time.
Kwesi Appiah is still out with a knee injury and Dwight Gayle will be unavailable due to a damaged hamstring.
