UEFA has fined the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) €100,000 (£77,000) for incidents including the use of fireworks and racist behaviour of supporters.
A series of disturbances occurred during Croatia's 2-2 draw with Czech Republic in the Euro 2016 group stage in Saint-Etienne on Friday.
A statement on UEFA's official website on Monday also said the HNS has been banned from selling tickets to fans identified as hooligans for the remainder of the tournament, a sanction that is deferred under a probationary period.
UEFA said that the sanctions are open to appeal.

At the weekend, the prefect for Saint-Etienne blamed UEFA for the crowd trouble at the match at Stade Geoffroy Guichard.
Evence Richard, the top official in the Saint-Etienne area, told local media that UEFA should have added "between 150 and 200" security agents at the stadium "to properly fulfil its mission."
