Neymar actions vs. Colombia anger Carlos Bacca's mother

Colombia international Carlos Bacca's mother joked that she wanted to "hit" Brazil star Neymar when the pair clashed in the Copa America last week.

Neymar will miss the remainder of the tournament after he was given a four-match ban for his actions in Brazil's 1-0 loss to Colombia.

The Barcelona forward was sent off at the conclusion of Wednesday's game for an attempted head-butt of Colombia defender Jeison Murillo that sparked a melee during which Colombia striker Carlos Bacca was also shown red.

"I felt anger and helplessness; I wanted to be there to push him [Bacca] away so they couldn't hit him because it could have been serious," Bacca's mother, Eloisa Ahumada, told Colombian regional paper El Heraldo, according to The Guardian.

"But if I'd have been in the stadium I would have taken off my high heel and hit Neymar; I know many women in the stadium would have joined me."

She added: "I didn't teach him things like that ... I was really annoyed because I've never seen this attitude of Carlos in the game before and so I sent him a message telling him off because he didn't need to react that way.

On Sunday, Brazil overcame Venezuela 2-1 to advance to the Copa America quarterfinals while Colombia drew 0-0 with Peru.
