Match Commentary
90' FULL-TIME: Job done. The hard work was completed in the first half and England slipped down a couple of gears in the second. It is unlikely they will be afforded that luxury in Moscow. |
90' Joe Cole bangs in to a couple of Estonian defenders and somehow pinballs his way though them. He steadies himself for a shot on goal but hits it with the outside of his boot sending the effort wide. |
88' Rooney does tremendously well, first showing his tenacity to win a ball he was second favorite to get to. He then shows vision to release Steven Gerrard who is racing in to the Estonia half. The Liverpool captain checks himself though as he had only Poom to beat and this allows the Estonian defence to close him down. Gerrard looked tired there. |
