Guerrero hat-trick seals Corinthians win, San Lorenzo beat Sao Paulo

Paolo Guerrero netted a hat-trick as Corinthians continued their winning streak in the Copa Libertadores with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Uruguay's Danubio.

The Peruvian striker helped the Brazilian giants collect their fourth win in as many games and lead Group 2 with maximum points.

Jadson opened the scoring for Tite's side after 26 minutes with a free-kick and Guerrero started his goalscoring campaign just after the half-hour mark as he headed home an Elias cross.

Only 20 seconds after the interval, Guerrero connected Elias' cross and volleyed home to increase his side's lead before putting the gloss on after 67 minutes as he slotted home Jadson's free-kick to put the result beyond doubt, while Danubio were reduced to 10 men after defender Matias de los Santos was sent off in the closing minutes.

Corinthians lead the group with 12 points while lowly Danubio remain pointless at the bottom.

Reigning Libertadores champions San Lorenzo of Argentina and Brazil's Sao Paulo are level on six points after the Argentinians edged a 1-0 victory in Buenos Aires.

Striker Martin Cauteruccio came off the bench for Leandro Romagnoli after 64 minutes and needed just six minutes on the field to make his team celebrate as -- following a great solo run -- he scored with a right-footed shot to claim victory.

"The team played a great match, very intelligently, well-thought. We needed to be solid in defense," Cauteruccio told Fox Sports. "The group is quite even, levelled. We have to enjoy this victory."
