Tigres earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw on the road against Costa Rican club Herediano in CONCACAF Champions League Group B action.

The Liga MX club, who finished with 10 men after a 49th minute Damian Alvarez red card, took the lead early with a goal from Antonio Briseno.

Jonathan Hansen levelled for the home team with a penalty in the 33rd minute. The two teams are tied on points atop their group.

D.C. United passes tough Montego Bay United test, Santos loses

D.C. United passed a stiff test from Montego Bay United in the CONCACAF Champions League, with Conor Doyle and Kofi Opare scoring late second-half goals to help them win 3-0.

The Jamaican club was able to frustrate Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference leaders in the first half, holding them scoreless until the 37th minute when Miguel Aguilar opened the scoring. Michael Farfan assisted on the goal.
