For Ghana, they now have one foot in the knock-out stages. How important could that late Kuzmanovic handball be for the Black Stars?
Serbia will be very disappointed with their performance. They didn't use Krasic nearly enough, and their final ball was poor on too many occasions.
Ghana secure a huge victory and the first for an African nation at this World Cup.
Ghana looking to shut up shop throwing on a defender. We're going to have three added minutes.
Sub Lee Addy on for Kevin Prince Boateng.
ESPN Stats & Info: Should this score hold, Ghana will have won all three World Cup matches in which they have scored a goal.
Tagoe booked for playing on after the whistle, he probably didn't hear it over the noise of thousands of vuvuzela.
Yellow Card Tagoe.
Kuzmanovic with a chance to make amends. The ball dropping to him on the edge of the box, but he fires his half volley way over the bar.
A hurried clearance from Mensah gives a corner to Serbia, Lazovic's first attempt hits the first man, and his second goes out for a throw in. Not good enough I'm afraid.
What have 10-man Serbia got in response? and how must Kuzmanovic feel now?
GOAL Gyan hammers the penalty home and Ghana are six minutes away from victory!
Kuzmanovic with a clear handball from an Ayew cross. What was he thinking???
Serbia have reacted well to going down to 10 men, Branislav Ivanovic with an uncharacteristic surge forward, his 25 yard shot just over.
From the resulting Krasic corner Vidic misses what for him is an easy opportunity, heading over from eight yards.
Lazovic capitalises on poor defending on the byline. Pantelic makes a hash of the pull, his wayward effort falling to Krasic who hits it straight at Kingson.
Subotic comes on for the frustrating Jovanovic. Can he spur Serbia on to three points?
Sub Neven Subotic on for Jovanovic.
Asamoah Gyan with the worst shot of the game. He controls the ball with his back to goal before hitting a truly awful shot about 30 yards wide.
What a chance for Ghana to go on and win this game now.
A second yellow card for Lukovic after holding back Gyan. I have to admit, that looked a little harsh on the Serbia defender.
Red card Lukovic, Serbia.
Appiah may be short of match practice, but can he provide a match-winning cameo appearance?
Sub Stephen Appiah on for Kwadwo Asamoah.
Lazovic has his first chance to stretch his leg. Mensah blocking his cross and it's a Serbia corner.
Can Lazovic inspire Serbia? He can't do much worse than Zigic.
ESPN Stats & Info: Entering today, there's been an average of 8 shots on target per match (both teams) at this year's World Cup. Both teams have combined for two today.
Sub Danko Lazovic on for Nikola Zigic.
A rare chance for Serbia. A deep ball from Stankovic is headed wide from Zigic. The newly-signed Birmingham City striker has been disappointing.
Comment from Mike Da Silva: ''What a shocking day of football. Germany v Australia had better be 4-4 to make up for it!''
Serbia just keeping the ball as they look to stem the Ghana tide.
Ayew gets to the byline a his centre is cleared. The left winger looks like a tricky proposition.
Prince Boateng strides forward before launching himself into Lukovic. Unsuprisingly it's a Serbia free kick.
Free kick to Serbia. Ivanovic is brought down and the resulting free kick is pumped up towards Zigic and comfortably cleared.
Let's see if the first change of the game can give Serbia a much needed boost. Ghana are taking control.
Sub Zdravko Kuzmanovic on for Milijas.
Ayew gets to the byline and suddenly it's raining good crosses in Pretoria! Asamoah can only guide his volley into the side netting.
John Paintsil launches a bullet of a throw into the Serbia box, Gyan wastes a golden opportunity as he guides his free header onto the post. This is more like it!
Pantelic makes up for his error with a cracking ball into Zigic, who can't quite bring the ball down and the chance is gone.
Pantelic isn't picked up from a Serbia throw. His cut back from the byline can only find a Ghana defender and another promising position is wasted.
Ghana have upped their game significantly since the break. Andre Ayew breaking through the middle and slicing wide from 25 yards. Much better from the Black Stars.
Prince Tagoe is coming into the game. His forray into the box resulting in a corner. Stojkovic punches the clearance out to Kevin Prince Boateng, who volleys the ball into orbit and well over the bar.
ESPN Stats & Info: Ghana has connected on two of 12 on open play crosses (crosses excluding free kicks and corners) and Serbia is one of six.
Finally a good cross in Pretoria!!! Step forward Prince Tagoe, he floats a great ball across to Ayew, who should do better with his header at the far post.
Almost a disaster for Nemanja Vidic. The centre back miscontrolling a back pass and almost letting in Asamoah, he recovers in time to clear.
The final ball is letting both teams down. Boateng the latest to overhit a through ball.
Another Serbia free kick is half cleared to Jovanovic. He breaks into the Ghana box, works an excellent opportunity before lashing wide. A goal is coming, honest...
The two teams take it in turns to produce awful crosses. Krasic is finally released down the right before over hitting his cross. With Ghana on the break, Gyan proves anything Krasic does he can do worse by hitting a hopeless ball wide of the far post.
Asamoah wrestles possession from Lukovic, Ghana with a throw deep in Serbia territory. The pressure is quickly relieved as Sarpei fouls Vidic.
The teams are out again Pretoria, Serbia get the second half underway.
Can Ghana become the first African nation to win a game at the continents first World Cup? The game is there for one man to take by the scruff of the neck.
Serbia have got to look to involve Milos Krasic more in the second half. After impressing so much for CSKA Moscow last season, he could be the man to make the difference in this one.
Not a great stat is it? I remain optimistic though, roll on the second half!
ESPN Stats & Info Though it's still early in the tournament, if this score holds 57% (4 of 7) matches thus far will have been 0-0 at half compared to 33% (21 of 64) in 2006.
Comment from a very unhappy Tom Adams: ''Worst. World. Cup. Ever.''
Half time. Not a great game, but flashes of promise. Surely this World Cup will come to life soon.
1 minute of added time at the end of the half
Andre Ayew slowly makes his way down the wing, his floated cross is almost met at the far post but comes to nothing. The game is a little flat at the moment.
Ghana seem to be missing the guile of Sulley Muntari. Kevin Prince Boateng needs to up his performance and provide the creative spark this game needs.
Tagoe claims for a penalty in the Serbia area but his appeal is waved away. I have to agree with the referee there, never a penalty.
Jovanovic certainly looks the man most likely for Serbia. It begs the question why isn't Krasic seeing more of the ball? Surely he could cause problems down the right.
Milan Jovanovic bursts into life and leaves Ghana in his wake before pulling across to Pantelic. The striker fails to gather but the ball comes to Stankovic. His effort is hit straight at Kingson, who makes a hash of the save but eventually gets the ball to safety.
Serbia seem to be running out of ideas. Milijas tries a speculative through ball that harmlessly runs to Kingson.
Milijas puts the ball in but it misses everyone. Ghana break and Zigic pulls back Tagoe. One way or another the big man is certainly putting himself about.
Corner to Serbia, can they take advantage?
Asamoah tries to release the pacy Gyan. His long ball drifts into the arms of Stojkovic.
Kingson rushes out of the Ghana goal to hoof clear as Pantelic threatened to race away.
John Paintsil dances around Kolarov near the corner flag. His cross is well cleared by Lukovic.
Another effort from Serbia who are marginally on top. Pantelic picks up the ball on the left, cuts in from the touchline and fires into the side netting from 30 yards.
A poor pass from Pantelic almost gifts Ghana a break until Prince Tagoe hauls down Kolarov and gives away a free kick.
Kolarov takes aim and fires just wide of the right-hand post. A decent effort. The game just needs a goal to burst into life...
Another Serbia free kick in a dangerous area. Annan barges Zigic off the ball in an aerial challenge. A real chance at goal here.
Well worked free kick again from Serbia. Nenad Milijas whips in a devilish ball to the back post but an unmarked Marko Pantelic fails to bring the ball down and it's a Ghana goal kick.
Stat attack: The lowest scoring World Cup came in 1990. So far in this tournament there has been an average of 1.33 goals per match. Hopefully that will change.
Yellow card Isaac Vorsah joins Zigic in the book after a late challenge on the giant striker.
Gyan is still down and that will be a big worry for Ghana. The game restarts with a drop ball.
The ball is put of play after Ivanovic goes in on Asamoah Gyan. I don't envy the Ghana strikers up against Vidic and Ivanovic this afternoon.
Zigic holds off several Ghana challenges as Serbia try and settle the game down. He really is a big presence in the Serbian attack.
Great play from Kevin Prince Boateng as he bursts down the left. He puts a great ball into the box that's just missed by the toe of Asamoah Gyan. Unlucky.
Chance for Mensah. The centre-back really should do better after he heads the resulting free kick wide from no more than 8 yards.
Yellow card Zigic in the book after a rough challenge on Isaac Vorsah. A slight mismatch to say the least.
Jovanovic breaks down the left after neat link-up play with Marko Pantelic. The ball into the box is tame is easily dealt with.
Serbia clear and Krasic is almost away, but the through ball is over hit and play slows down with Serbia keeping the ball in midfield.
Kwadwo Asamoah fires the ball across and the clearance is sliced towards the Serbia goal but it drifts harmlessly over for another corner.
A Kevin Prince Boateng shot is blocked and Ghana force another corner.
A poor headed back pass by Isaac Vorsah almost lets in Zigic but luckily the big man isn't the quickest and the keeper gathers.

Ghana take a corner, but it floats way beyond the far post and out for a throw.
Hans Sarpei whips in a cross from the Ghana left which drifts harmlessly out of play.
A cleverly worked free kick. The ball slipped down the channel to Kolarov who's cross is hacked away by Ghana.
After a slightly hectic opening the game has settled down, but Serbia earn a free kick and a chance to put the ball into the box.
The game has started at a good pace, hopefully as the temperature drops it will continue.
First look at the exciting Milos Krasic. He gets the ball down and runs at the full back but hits the cross straight out of play.
Asamoah Gyan fires the free kick over. The set pieces have been disappointing so far this World Cup.
Chance for Ghana. Prince Tagoe brought down 25 yards out, free kick and a real sight of the Serbia goal.
Ghana join in with the ambitious long-range shooting. Anthony Annan fires in a volley from well out, fairing slightly better than Pantelic as it goes 6 yards wide.
Straight from kick off Marko Pantelic robs the ball and fires an audacious 40-yard effort wide. What a start!
Ghana kick off, we're under way at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
The teams come out to the now familiar sound of the vuvuzela, this promises to be an intriguing match up.
The teams are in the tunnel, let's hope this game is a big improvement on Algeria and Slovenia's clash earlier.
With Germany and Australia playing later this group promises to be one of the tightest. A win here for Ghana or Serbia would be a great start.
Serbia line up as expected, with Nemanja Vidic in the heart of their defence and the huge figure of Nikola Zigic leading the line.
The big team news for Ghana is that Stephen Appiah and Sulley Muntari miss out, Kevin Prince Boateng and Anthony Annan play in the centre of the Black Stars midfield.
