FULL TIME: Wigan beat Manchester City 2-1 to book a place in the FA Cup semifinals at Wembley where they will meet Arsenal.

  • 95'

Wigan have made a great job of frustrating City and keeping them at bay during the final minutes here. Deep into added time.

  • 94'

Silva sends the ball in but Garcia can't reach it. Wigan goalkick.

  • 93'

Espinoza booked for a late challenge on Garcia. City freekick centrally 30 yards from goal.

  • 92'

City are frustrated, after a prolonged spell of possession they are forced to settle for a throw in.

  • 91'

Wigan try to keep the ball in the corner but it doesn't last. Clichy clears long.

  • 90'

Gomez sends Fortune through on goal and from an angle the forward loses Demichelis and shoots well but Pantilimon saves well. Wigan corner.

  • 89'

Five minutes to be added on. Wigan will have to continue holding on for a while yet.

  • 89'

City clear long to Aguero who tangles with Boyce and goes down in the area but his claims for a penalty are waved away by the assistant referee.

  • 88'

Wigan win a free kick in a dangerous position after Gomez is fouled by Silva, but he sends the ball into the arms of Pantilimon.

  • 87'

Dzeko returns to the pitch with his head bandaged.

  • 87'

Dzeko returns to the pitch with his head bandaged.

  • 86'

Regardless of result, Wigan have performed heroically during this game. Defensively and in attack.

  • 85'

Dzeko's protests after being caught in the face by a flailing arm have earned him a yellow card, despite the fact he is actually injured.

  • 84'

Carson shown a yellow card for timewasting.

  • 83'

Nasri, deep on the right wing, crosses perfectly for Dzeko who sends a header just wide of the post.

  • 82'

Dzeko finds Milner in space but his shot hits a defender, loses pace, and is cleared. Wigan hanging on.

  • 81'

After doing so little for much of the game, Carson is now being overworked in the Wigan goal.

  • 80'

Carson paws away an Aguero shot into the path of Silva but a defender beats the Spaniard to the ball and clears. City getting closer and closer.

  • 79'

Every time Wigan clear it falls to a City player and another wave of attack comes. Milner plays the ball across goal and Dzeko contrives to shoot over from close range.

  • 78'

Dzeko's shot deflects away from goal and Espinoza acrobatically clears before the ball is swung back in and City win a corner.

  • 77'

It's all City. Wigan are chasing shadows while the hosts wait for the right moment to pick off their opponents, it seems.

  • 76'

Espinoza is fouled by Milner, courtesy of a high foot, on the right wing. Milner booked.

  • 75'

Clichy crosses from the left but Ramis makes a mess of his clearance and gifts City the ball straight back.

  • 74'

Aguero breaks through on goal but wastes the one vs. one opportunity and shoots wide. Moments later he is wrongly called offside by the assistant referee.

  • 73'

A deflected Aguero shot loops into the air and looks to be flying in but Carson reaches and catches well.

  • 72'

Nasri, who has been at the centre of a lot of City's best work, drives forward purposefully but hits a crowd of Wigan defenders.

  • 71'

Fortune, with Wigan's first chance in a while, blazes over when he finds himself in space and with the City defence stretched.

  • 70'

Silva, from a very deep position, plays a precise ball in towards Aguero in the box, but Carson comes to collect and snuffs out the danger.

  • 69'

Aguero pulls the ball back to Richards who fires a shot across the face of goal as City come again. Wigan could be in for a long final 20 minutes.

  • 68'

Barnett is booked for Wigan during the aftermath of that goal.

  • 67'

GOAL Clichy's corner is headed away to Nasri on the edge of the box who fires accurately through the crowd and into the bottom corner. How important will that be!

  • 66'

It feels like a City goal is coming. They are camped in the Wigan half. City earn a corner.

  • 65'

Appeals for a City penalty after Richards is dragged down in the box but the referee waves away the protests.

  • 64'

WIGAN SUB: The visitors make their third and final sub bringing on Espinoza for McEachran.

  • 63'

  • 62'

  • 60'

Richards breaks down the right but Wigan clear the ball long to moans from the home crowd. Their pressure is not coming to anything meaningful.

  • 59'

Wigan aren't panicking and are staying calm with their passing tactics. Frustrating for City as the minutes tick by.

  • 58'

A spell of City pressure ends with Aguero wastefully shooting from outside the box straight into a defender.

  • 57'

James McClean comes on for Wigan for McManaman to give them some fresh legs in attack.

  • 56'

Given the ball Wigan calmly string a run of passes together and leave City chasing shadows. Confident stuff from the Championship side.

  • 55'

City are looking a bit more confident on the ball following the changes and playing with more urgency. The introduction of Dzeko as a targetman and Silva as a creative output has got Wigan under pressure.

  • 54'

Almost an instant reaction for City as Milner breaks down the right wing and fires a ball across the goalmouth but Perch meets it and makes an important clearance.

  • 53'

That's a big call from Pellegrini, especially considering Nasri is on a yellow.

  • 52'

CITY SUB: Dzeko, Silva and Milner come on in place of Navas, Negredo and Toure.

  • 52'

Toure is forced into another foul by McArthur. City are all over the place and have lost their grip on this game. A triple sub coming up from the hosts here!

  • 51'

Fortune comes close to adding a third, striking a post, but he is offside and it wouldn't have counted.

  • 50'

Toure is booked for a foul on McManaman.

  • 49'

Wow. Well, that came out of nowhere. City were caught napping in defence there and they have a real fight on their hands now.

  • 48'

GOAL Wigan add a second through James Perch after a confident start to the second half. A low cross from the left reaches Perch at the back post and he beats Clichy to the ball.

  • 47'

City's first action is to kick the ball out of play for a Wigan goalkick.

  • 46'

    City kick off the second-half.

WIGAN SUB: Leon Barnett is on for Chris McCann following his earlier clash with Micah Richards.

Manchester City have only scored one first half goal in their last seven matches.

David Silva is purposefully warming up on the Etihad pitch. Could he be about to replace Nasri who is already on a yellow card and has looked very frustrated.

  • 47'

Gomez whips the ball in dangerously again but Negredo deals with the danger. The whistle goes for half-time with Wigan comfortably on top and a goal to the good.

  • 46'

A curling ball has to be headed away by Clichy and Wigan have a second corner.

  • 45'

Wigan win a corner. Two minutes of additional time to be played.

  • 44'

Both McCann and Richards have shaken off the thumping challenge which saw their knees collide heavily.

  • 43'

Richards looks to be hurt following a hefty challenge from McCann on the edge of the Wigan area.

  • 42'

City are being frustrated by Wigan, who refuse to let them build any momentum at the moment. The game has got very bitty.

  • 41'

City freekick after Negredo is caught late from behind by Boyce.

  • 40'

Apart from a short spell, Wigan have not looked particularly uncomfortable.

  • 39'

The freekick is passed backwards, Wigan preferring to maintain possession rather than directly attack.

  • 38'

A melee breaks out after McManaman is shoved off the ball by Toure and Gomez is then hustled over by two City players. Wigan freekick.

  • 37'

Nasri makes a threatening run down the left and into the box before being forced wide from where his cross is poor. The France international reveals his frustrations by punching the ground angrily.

  • 36'

Aguero attempts a speculative long shot, summing up City's problems at the moment, the ball strikes the defender directly in front of the ball and harmlessly ricochets away.

  • 35'

Wigan have had two goal attempts to City's two after 35 minutes.

  • 34'

Nasri booked for kicking the ball away after Garcia conceded a foul on the halfway line.

  • 33'

The fact that City have conceded so early certainly works in their favour and gives them time to work their way back into the game. The likes of Silva and Dzeko are on the bench too.

  • 32'

Toure receives the ball from Clichy and drives forward before trying to thread through Aguero but he overhits the pass.

  • 31'

No signs of an immediate reaction from City. Wigan are containing them easily.

  • 30'

City are playing with a shaky urgency now, that Wigan goal has really rocked the boat.

  • 29'

That is just what the game needed. City were beginning to dominate, and now, as at Wembley last week, Pellegrini's side must come from behind.

  • 28'

GOAL Gomez steps up and coolly sends Pantilimon the wrong way

  • 27'

WIGAN PENALTY - Demichelis is turned by Fortune and fouls the Wigan striker as he attempts to recover!

  • 26'

City are definitely stepping it up a gear, as Nasri aims a long ball into the box towards Negredo but the Spaniard can't get clear contact on the ball.

  • 25'

Aguero receives the ball with his back to goal and turns well but can't get a clear shot off and Wigan clear.

  • 24'

The corner is taken short by Nasri to Navas and after some passes between the pair Josh McEachran clears for a City throw.

  • 23'

Another Navas cross from the right earns City a third corner in the opening 25 minutes.

  • 22'

Other than that City have largely lacked invention and spark in their play.

  • 21'

Dangerous chance for City, their best yet, as Toure feeds Navas down the right allowing him to pass along the goalmouth but Ramis is able to shield the ball into the arms of Wigan goalkeeper Carson.

  • 20'

That hasn't dampened the fans' spirits though, on a mild and bright day in Manchester.

  • 19'

Man City have enjoyed 66% possession in the last five minutes, but they have not been able to turn it into anything meaningful.

  • 18'

Wigan, when they are given the chance to attack, are getting most joy down the flanks. The shackles of Toure and Garcia in the middle are giving the visitors no change.

  • 17'

City are comfortable here, with Wigan increasingly looking desperate in their outlets for attacking options, hitting it longer.

  • 16'

Toure is fouled in the centre circle by Gomez, breaking up a smart run of City passes.

  • 15'

Pantilimon bravely dummies and evades the figure of Fortune in his area following a pass back from Lescott. Dangerous from the City goalkeeper there.

  • 14'

A Nasri corner is headed away by McCann, two corners wasted by City now.

  • 13'

City have enjoyed plenty of time in the Wigan half so far, but have created little in the way of proper chances.

  • 12'

McCann embarks on a dangerous run from the heart of Wigan's defence well into City's half before dispatching a rather hurried ball towards Fortune, which, in the end, is overhit.

  • 11'

Demichelis heads away following Perch's dangerous cross toward Fortune.

  • 10'

Negredo is caught offside after more build-up play from City who are employing a slow slow fast approach to great effect.

  • 9'

The corner is handled by City defender Micah Richards as it comes into the box. Wigan freekick.

  • 8'

Clichy wins a corner after some patient build-up play which saw Wigan camped in their own half with plenty of men behind the ball.

  • 7'

Demichelis is already seeing plenty of the ball, and Wigan, in particular big striker Marc-Antoine Fortune, are targeting the error prone defender.

  • 6'

Navas gets the better of McCann down the right wing and crosses into the box but the ball is headed away by Ramis.

  • 5'

Wigan are enjoying plenty of time on the ball in the opening exchanges but City don't seem particularly stretched by their Championship opponents.

  • 4'

Despite the departure of Roberto Martinez to Everton, Wigan keep their philosophy of passing football under new manager Uwe Rosler.

  • 3'

A poor clearance from Demichelis lands at the feet of Jordi Gomez just outside the area, but the Spaniard snatches at his shot and sends it over the bar.

  • 2'

Early pressure on the Wigan defence from Aguero and Negredo sees Navas pick up the ball but a heavy touch gives the ball back to the visitors.

  • 1'
