GOAL FOR EVERTON!
KICK OFF Everton get the game underway!
Everton are holding a moving tribute to the former players who died during 2012.
Sky Sports pundit Alan Smith believes David Luiz will face "his toughest test yet" as a central midfielder. "There'll be tackles flying in," he explains.
The players are now emerging from the tunnel.
ESPN contributor and Brazilian football expert Chris Atkins writes on Twitter: "No Moses this week, but still no Oscar. Benitez doesn't trust him at all."
He also said the trip to Japan for the Club World Cup had helped his players: "The patterns, movement and understanding between players is improving."
Rafa Benitez has told Sky Sports ahead of the game: "I'm changing players because we know we need fresh legs."
Everton, meanwhile, make two changes, with John Heitinga and Steven Naismith coming in for the injured Phil Neville and Darron Gibson.
Chelsea make three changes from the side that beat Norwich on Boxing Day, with Ramires, Frank Lampard and Eden Hazard all returning to the starting XI.
Benitez is likely to be at the centre of things pre-match, with his remark that Everton have a "small club mentality" while in charge of Liverpool not having been forgotten. He expects jeers at Goodison.
The Belgian's absence could be more costly today, however, with Chelsea having won three in a row after their Club World Cup disappointment and looking a well-organised unit under Rafa Benitez.
Everton are also unbeaten at home this season, and have won their last two matches despite losing Marouane Fellaini to suspension.
Chelsea head to Goodison Park looking to end a poor run of form that has seen Everton win the last three league meetings between the teams at the ground.
