Domenico Criscito eyes Roma reunion with ex-Zenit boss Luciano Spalletti

Reports coming out of Italy have Luciano Spalletti as the replacement for the AS Roma managerial job.

Zenit St Petersburg defender Domenico Criscito hopes to join Luciano Spalletti at Roma this winter should the coach be confirmed as Rudi Garcia's successor.

Spalletti is expected to be appointed after Garcia was dismissed on Wednesday having already held talks with club president James Pallotta and general manager Mauro Baldissoni in Miami.

Spalletti signed Criscito during his stint in charge of Zenit and the Italian left-back hopes to be reunited with the coach in Rome.

Zenit deny offering Carlo Ancelotti contract worth €16 million a year

The ESPN FC crew react to Cristiano Ronaldo heaping praise on former manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Zenit St Petersburg have denied reports that Carlo Ancelotti has agreed a deal in principle to coach the Russian champions next season.

Ancelotti, 56, has been without a club since being fired by Real Madrid in May and said in November that he would be open to coaching in the Premier League, recently suggesting Manchester United as a potential destination.

Russian daily Izvestia reported on Friday that Ancelotti agreed a contract worth €16 million a year -- a wage second only in the world...
