Arsenal confirm 2017 Australia tour dates vs. Sydney FC and Wanderers

ESPN FC's Craig Burley explains if he were an Arsenal supporter, he'd expect more from the club.

SYDNEY --  Arsenal have confirmed they will play two matches in Australia next year, marking their first visit to the country in almost 40 years.

The Gunners will take on Sydney FC on July 13 in 2017 at ANZ Stadium, followed by a clash with Western Sydney Wanderers two days later at the same venue.

Arsenal CEO Ivan Gazidis said: "Our preseason matches enable the squad to complete final preparations ahead of a new campaign, and Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers will provide a strong test...

Brendon Santalab takes aim at Iacopo La Rocca in A-League Grand Final

Western Sydney Wanderers striker Brendon Santalab is bracing for a duel with Iacopo La Rocca ahead of the A-League Grand Final.

Brendon Santalab has thrown his first A-League Grand Final jibe, suggesting former Western Sydney teammate Iacopo La Rocca has been forced to shift to a defensive role at Adelaide United.

La Rocca was a Wanderers crowd favourite for three years before being let go as part of coach Tony Popovic's mass off-season overhaul.

Since joining Adelaide, the Italian holding midfielder has played in central defence.

Western Sydney's Redmayne ready for second chance in A-League final

Take a look back through Western Sydney's road to the A-League Grand Final.

Dropped for new recruit Liam Reddy, and then just as suddenly recalled for the A-League season's crescendo, Andrew Redmayne is set to start between the posts against Adelaide United.

He has kept a clear mind throughout an uncertain A-League campaign, but now, Western Sydney Wanderers goalkeeper Redmayne is maintaining focus for the biggest assignment of his career in Sunday's Grand Final at the Adelaide Oval.

As the last defensive barrier in the Wanderers' third attempt to win a maiden title, the...

Western Sydney Wanderers ready for 'revenge' against Brisbane - Santalab

Brisbane Roar reached the A-League semi-finals after scoring two late goals to shock Melbourne Victory.

Revenge will be Brendon Santalab's main motivating factor when the Western Sydney Wanderers host Brisbane in this weekend's A-League semifinal.

Santalab simply can't erase painful memories of the 2013-14 grand final at Suncorp Stadium, where the Wanderers hearts were broken by Henrique's extra-time winner for the Roar.

It was the second time Tony Popovic's side had been denied the championship in as many years.

Santalab isn't willing to give John Aloisi's side even a sniff at stealing their chance...
