Kerem Bulut back with Western Sydney Wanderers in A-League

Kerem Bulut
Kerem Bulut will turn out for the Western Sydney Wanderers in the upcoming A-League season.

Cult hero Kerem Bulut is back to boost Western Sydney Wanderers' hopes ahead of the A-League season.

The 24-year-old striker has signed a two-year deal to return to the Wanderers after a season spent playing in Greece.

"I had a bit of a rough season last year so it's good to be back," said Bulut.

"We've got a big season coming up with the league and the [Asian] Champions League, the new squad is looking perfect and it's just good to be around at the club that I love."

A-League Sydney derbies at ANZ will be permanent if crowds come

Australian head coach Ange Postecoglou says the A-League matches up with the likes of overseas leagues.

A-League derbies between Western Sydney Wanderers and Sydney FC at ANZ Stadium could become the norm if the opening-round A-League fixture attracts a big crowd.

The Wanderers will open their season against crosstown rivals Sydney FC at the ground on Oct. 8, in a match that is all-but-certain to attract more fans than any previous meeting between the two clubs.

While the fixture is only slated for Sydney's biggest stadium due to the three-year redevelopment of Pirtek Stadium, Wanderers chief executive...

Wester Sydney's Scott Jamieson joins Swedish club IFK Goteborg

ESPN's Jason Dasey and John Wilkinson discuss how Tim Cahill will fair with his new club of Melbourne City in the A-League.

Western Sydney Wanderers defender Scott Jamieson is heading to IFK Goteborg.

Western Sydney have confirmed the departure of A-League defender Scott Jamieson, who is poised to join Swedish giants IFK Goteborg.

Jamieson has reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with Goteborg, with an option for a second year, after the club's initial move for the experienced left-back had been rejected last month by the Wanderers.

Jamieson, 27, had a year left to run on his contract with the Wanderers but was able to leave because his release clause, reportedly around $200,000, was triggered.

Western Sydney aim to end A-League grand final voodoo - Ian Crook

ESPN FC's Jason Dasey and PJ Roberts assess the shocking defeats of Adelaide United and Central Coast to semi-pro sides in the FFA Cup.

SYDNEY -- Western Sydney Wanderers technical director Ian Crook says the club's aim is to end their A-League Grand Final hoodoo this season and "get the monkey off people's backs."

Wanderers were beaten 3-1 by Adelaide United in the Adelaide Oval in May -- their third Grand Final defeat in the past four seasons.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Norwich City midfielder Crook dismissed the suggestion that it was a psychological issue, but said the club was determined to win the league's denouement this...

Teenager Lachlan Scott shines for the Wanderers in FFA Cup win

Lachlan Scott
Lachlan Scott's brace helped the Wanderers to a 3-2 FFA Cup win over the Wellington Phoenix.

Western Sydney Wanderers coach Tony Popovic believes he's uncovered a rough diamond after teenage striker Lachlan Scott scored twice on debut to earn last season's A-League grand finalists a 3-2 FFA Cup win over Wellington Phoenix.

Scott netted either side of halftime to cancel out early goals from the Phoenix's Hamish Watson and Kosta Barbarouses.

Mitch Nichols cracked an impressive winner as the Wanderers reached the round of 16, but all the focus was on the 19-year-old youth team graduate.

"He...
