Western Sydney Wanderers climbed off the bottom of the A-League standings on Wednesday with a thumping 4-1 win at the Brisbane Roar.

Nikita Rukavytsya put the struggling visitors ahead with a first-time finish after 20 minutes and, although Jonathan Aspropotamitis' own goal got the hosts level in the 41st minute, Kerem Bulut restored the Warriors' advantage before the interval and they never looked back.

Brandon Borrello scored the game's only goal for Brisbane Roar against Sydney Wanderers.

Brisbane Roar continued their A-League revival with a 1-0 win over last-placed Western Sydney Wanderers.

Brandon Borrello netted the only goal of the game eight minutes after half-time as reigning champions Brisbane made it 13 points from a possible 15 since the start of February -- having previously only won three of their opening 13 matches.

The win lifts Brisbane up to sixth place, eight points behind Adelaide United in fifth but with two games still in hand.
