Ante Covic excels as Perth Glory knock WS Wanderers out of the FFA Cup

ESPN FC's Jason Dasey and David Mitchell recap the victories for Perth and Melbourne City in the FFA Cup quarterfinals, highlighted by Melbourne's Aaron Mooy who struck a hat trick.

Former Australia national goalkeeper Ante Covic admits that it was a special feeling to help Perth Glory beat his former club the Western Sydney Wanderers on penalties to advance to the semifinals of the 2015 FFA Cup.

Covic, who was a Western Sydney hero when they won the AFC Champions League in 2014, made a fabulous double save in the second half of regular time to keep Perth in the match in front of their own fans.

Western Sydney name Socceroo Dario Vidosic as their marquee player

Vidosic has earned 23 caps for Australia since 2009, scoring two goals and appearing at the 2014 World Cup.

Australia attacker Dario Vidosic has returned to the A-League in a two-year deal with 2014 AFC Asian Champions League winners, Western Sydney.

The 28-year-old moves from FC Sion in Switzerland, taking up the Wanderers' marquee spot for the next two seasons.

Vidosic is a former Adelaide United forward who also played four seasons in the Bundesliga between 2007-11 for clubs that included FC Nurnburg. He's earned 23 caps for the Socceroos, scoring two goals since 2009.

Western Sydney sign second Spaniard for new A-League season

Western Sydney won the AFC Champions League last year but disappointed in the domestic A-League season that followed finishing ninth.

The Western Sydney Wanderers midfield for the coming A-League season will have a Barcelona flavour with a second Spaniard joining the 2014 Asian champions.

Dimas Delgado has penned a one-year deal with Tony Popovic's side, joining countryman Andreu, another midfielder, at the club.

Like Andeu, Delgado hails from the Catalan area where Barcelona is located and came through the ranks of the reigning La Liga champions.
