Eto'o, Messi shine in Deco testimonial

As the La Liga season approaches FC Barcelona's new defender, Jeremy Mathieu, will have big boots to fill as Barca looks to regroup following a disappointing previous season.

In a flashback to years past, Barcelona played to a 4-4 draw at Porto in a testimonial for Deco, who played one half for each club.

Barca's squad was made up mostly of players from their 2006 Champions League triumph, while Porto had players from their 2004 European championship.

George Bratton's goal two minutes into stoppage time saw Brisbane Roar clinch the Premiers Plate with a 1-0 win over second-placed Melbourne Victory.

Brattan fired in from the edge of the area just as it appeared time had run out on Roar's bid to wrap up the silverware on Saturday.

The win, their 15th from 24 games, lifted them 12 points clear of Victory. Earlier, Newcastle Jets hammered Wellington Phoenix 5-0, with four of the goals coming in the second half.
