Manchester City have made an "astonishing" salary offer to Kevin De Bruyne, Wolfsburg's director of sport Klaus Allofs has revealed.

Allofs, speaking in Monaco after the Champions League draw, said negotiations with City over a move had come closer to an agreement -- there have been reports the Bundesliga want £54 million as a transfer fee for the Belgium international.

The Wolfsburg director admitted his side could not compete with the financial muscle of City after their salary offer to the...

Last year no Premier League side made it past the Champions League round of 16. How will they fare this year?
ESPN FC's Alejandro Moreno and Alexis Nunes go group-by-group to break down the 2015 UEFA Champions League draw.

Manchester City have been handed a tough Champions League group stage draw against Juventus, Sevilla and Borussia Monchengladbach.

Manchester City in Kevin De Bruyne talks but no agreement yet - Wolfsburg

The ESPN FC crew discuss Kevin De Bruyne's imminent transfer to Manchester City and debate whether or not the addition of De Bruyne will improve City's title hopes.

Wolfsburg have confirmed they are in negotiations with Manchester City for the transfer of Kevin De Bruyne but said there is no agreement at this stage.

Wolfsburg sporting executive Klaus Allofs told a news conference that De Bruyne has resisted the Bundesliga club's efforts to prolong his stay but said he would only be sold if City meet his asking price.

Allofs also played down speculation suggesting Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain or Manchester United could hijack the deal, saying it was "unlikely"...
