Bas Dost wants to stay at Wolfsburg and help fire them to their first German Super Cup trophy on Saturday amid reported interest from Newcastle United.

Dost, 26, struck 16 goals last season to help Wolfsburg finish as Bundesliga runners-up to champions Bayern Munich, who they face in Saturday's Super Cup final at the Volkswagen Arena.

The Netherlands international needed over two years to make an impact in Germany following his 2012 transfer from SC Heerenveen, but a move away from Wolfsburg appears...

Bayern Munich out for revenge against Wolfsburg in German Super Cup final

Bayern's new signing, midfielder Arturo Vidal, has claimed that his goal is to go one better than he did with Juventus, having lost this year's Champions League final, and win the competition.
ESPN FC's Gab Marcotti believes that Manchester City are not prepared to break the bank on Kevin De Bruyne even though the papers say otherwise.
Wolfsburg manager Dieter Hecking says his side learned plenty from their Emirates Cup campaign, despite losing both games at the tournament.
Wolfsburg shocked Bayern back in January with an impressive 4-1 victory.

Robert Lewandowski says Bayern Munich are seeking to avenge their 4-1 Bundesliga defeat against Wolfsburg in January when they take on the DFB-Pokal winners in the German Super Cup final on Saturday.

Bayern coach Pep Guardiola is hoping to finally win the German preseason cup following consecutive final defeats against Borussia Dortmund, though Wolfsburg have promised Bayern a fierce fight at the Volkswagen Arena.
