Vancouver Whitecaps' Kei Kamara scores 100th MLS goal in win

Gyasi Zardes scored from the penalty spot in stoppage time to secure three points for Columbus in their home opener after a late surge by Montreal.

Kei Kamara scored his 100th career MLS goal as Vancouver Whitecaps beat Houston Dynamo 2-1 on Saturday.

Kamara gave Vancouver an early lead with a penalty in the 28th minute, reaching the milestone in his 300th career game.

He had won the penalty when he was pushed in the area by Philippe Senderos, and has now scored twice in as many games.

Red Bulls land defender Tim Parker in trade with Whitecaps

Ahead of the 2018 MLS season, we caught up with some of the players and asked them to give a rendition of their favourite songs from the fans.

The New York Red Bulls acquired one of the most highly rated center-backs in MLS on Friday by landing Tim Parker in a trade with the Vancouver Whitecaps.

The Whitecaps will receive midfielder Felipe Martins in exchange, as well as $500,000 in targeted allocation money and an international roster spot.

Parker, who is entering the final year of his contract, requested a trade after talks over a new deal broke down this winter, sources confirmed.

Vancouver Whitecaps add Jordon Mutch on loan from Crystal Palace

The Vancouver Whitecaps completed the loan signing of Crystal Palace midfielder Jordon Mutch on Friday.

Mutch will move to MLS on loan until the end of the season in December. He is already with his new club and could play as early as the season opener against Montreal on Sunday.
