Wild Week 6 sees Tigres take No. 1 over Pachuca in Liga MX Power Rankings

Andre Pierre-Gignac and Tigres hard-fought 4-2 win over Pachuca gives them the top spot in this week's Power Rankings.

Goals rained down in Week 6 of the Liga MX Apertura -- 40 to be exact. Teams like Tigres and Pumas secured resounding victories, but Necaxa and Santos Laguna are still searching for their first wins.

1. TIGRES UANL (+2):
Andre-Pierre Gignac and Ismael Sosa scored two goals each to defeat Liga MX's reigning champion Pachuca by a final score of 4-2. Tigres enter Week 7 with just two goals conceded as the only remaining club with an undefeated record.

Liga MX side Tigres cruised to a 3-1 win over Costa Rica's Herediano in Wednesday's CONCACAF Champions League action.

Neither team were able to break the deadlock in the first 45 minutes, but that all changed when Fernando Fernandez found the back of the net for U.A.N.L. just one minute after the restart.

Jose Sanchez Barquero pinched a goal back for the hosts 10 minutes later with a well-taken strike, before Damian Alvarez and Jorge Espericueta made sure of the victory for Ricardo Ferretti's side.
