Trabzonspor officials banned after locking referee in changing room

Ibrahim Ethem Haciosmanoglu, president of Trabzonspor, has been banned.

Trabzonspor president Ibrahim Ethem Haciosmanoglu and several members of his board have been given lengthy bans after a referee was locked in his dressing room at their stadium.

The club have also been ordered to play two matches behind closed doors after referee Cagatay Sahan and his officials were locked in overnight.

President of Turkish club Trabzonspor locks referee in stadium - report

A referee and his assistants were locked in a stadium for several hours after failing to give a penalty in a match between Turkish clubs Trabzonspor and Gaziantepspor on Thursday.

According to the BBC, referee Cagatay Sahan and his assistants were detained inside Trabzonspor stadium on orders from club president Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu in response to his decision to not award the spot kick in the 2-2 draw.

Chelsea's Marko Marin joins Trabzonspor on loan

Marko Marin has previously spent time on loan at Sevilla, Fiorentina and Anderlecht.

Chelsea winger Marko Marin has joined Trabzonspor on loan with an option to purchase.

Marin, 26, joined Chelsea from Werder Bremen on a five-year contract in 2012 but he has spent the majority of his time at the club out on loan, spending time with Sevilla, Fiorentina and Anderlecht.

The former Germany international now moves to Turkey as he looks to revive his career.

Chelsea's Marko Marin to have Trabzonspor medical - director

Marko Marin has failed to make an impact at Chelsea.

Marko Marin is set to join Trabzonspor from Chelsea, the Turkish side's sporting director Suleyman Hurma has confirmed.

Hurma told Lig TV that Marin, 26, is to undergo a medical with the six-time Turkish champions on Tuesday, before signing a contract with the club.

The winger, who was greeted by Trabzonspor fans upon his arrival in Turkey, is reported to be joining for a fee of €2.5 million.

Dame N'Doye signs for Trabzonspor from Hull City

Dame N'Doye scored five Premier League goals last season.

Hull City striker Dame N'Doye has completed a £2.2 million move to Trabzonspor.

The Senegalese striker arrived from Lokomotiv Moscow on deadline day in January and made an immediate impact, scoring three times in his first four appearances.

He went on to score both goals in the victory over Crystal Palace but ended the season on a five-game scoreless streak as the Tigers slipped out of the Premier League.
