Rennes secured a third successive win in Ligue 1 as they came from behind to beat Toulouse 3-1.

The visitors led after just five minutes through Martin Braithwaite, who finished at the far post following Adrien Regattin's ball into the area.

However, a period of Rennes' pressure paid off after 17 minutes when Ludovic Baal's centre caused panic in the Toulouse box and resulted in Steeve Yago turning into his own net.

That sparked a spell of dominance from the home team but they had to wait until 67...

Thomas Lemar is congratulated after levelling for Monaco.

Monaco came from behind to continue their unbeaten start to the season with a 1-1 draw at Toulouse.

Tongo Doumbia put Toulouse ahead but Thomas Lemar's fine goal equalised.

Toulouse wasted the first big opportunity when Daniel Braithwaite headed over from close range with less than 10 minutes played.

Monaco's summer-signing Stephan El Shaarawy should then have opened the scoring on 20 minutes, but his header failed to beat Mauro Goicoechea before the hosts broke the deadlock at the other end.

Caen defender Damien Da Silva headed the only goal of the game to clinch his side a 1-0 home win against Toulouse.

Da Silva capped an impressive all-round display when he rose highest in the 70th minute to head home Julien Feret's free-kick and break the deadlock at the Stade Michel d'Ornano.

The solitary goal was enough to secure Caen a second successive Ligue 1 win following last week's opening-day success by the same score at Marseille.

Neither side produced many goalscoring chances but Caen went...

Toulouse recovered from a goal down to upset St Etienne 2-1 on the opening weekend of the new Ligue 1 season.

St Etienne, who finished fifth last term, took a 17th minute lead through long-serving centre-back Loic Perrin's header from a Romain Hamouma corner.

Having only avoided relegation by one place last season, Toulouse must have feared the worst at that point but they were on level terms within 10 minutes thanks to Denmark striker Martin Braithwaite's 25-yard free-kick.

Toulouse sign Mauro Goicoechea from Arouca

Toulouse have signed goalkeeper Mauro Goicoechea from Portuguese side Arouca.

The former Uruguay under-21 international, now 27, will compete for playing time with regular starter Ali Ahamada as he inherits the role vacated by Zacharie Boucher's departure to Auxerre.

He told the club's official website:...
