Matt Jurman: 'Weird feeling' to watch Sydney FC win A-League double

Alex Wilkinson says the brotherhood felt among the Sydney FC players makes their Grand Final triumph even more special.

Matt Jurman watched the 2016 A-League Grand Final while on Asian Champions League duty in Guangzhou with Sydney FC. A year later, he was back in the same Chinese city watching the same game -- only this time his former club was in action.

The defender left the Sky Blues in January to join South Korea's Suwon Bluewings, and when his old colleagues were taking on Melbourne Victory for the title, he was preparing for Suwon's must-win final group stage match at the home of Chinese Super League giants...

Ricardo Goulart rounded off a fine move to equalise for Guangzhou in their AFC CL clash with Suwon Bluewings.

Guangzhou Evergrande squeezed into the knockout stage of the 2017 AFC Champions League with a 2-2 draw against Suwon Bluewings at Tianhe Stadium on Tuesday evening, thanks to a controversial goal from Brazilian forward Ricardo Goulart.

The Chinese Super League big-spenders, who were continental champions in 2013 and 2015, avoided last season's ignominious first-round exit to finish second in Group G.
