Columbus signs Ghana international Mohammed Abu from Stromsgodset

Mohammed Abu played for Ghana at the 2012 African Nations Cup.

Midfielder Mohammed Abu joined Columbus Crew SC on Tuesday as a special discovery player from Norwegian club Stromsgodset.

The 25-year-old previously played in La Liga with Rayo Vallecano and Ligue 1 with Lorient.

Francisco Junior leaves Everton for Stromsgodset on permanent deal

Francisco Junior made only one first-team appearance for Everton in four years.

Everton midfielder Francisco Junior has joined Stromsgodset on a permanent transfer after failing to establish himself at Goodison Park.

The 24-year-old Portuguese midfielder joined on a free transfer four years ago but managed just one first-team appearance in the Capital One Cup defeat at Leeds in September 2012 when he was withdrawn at half-time.

Martin Odegaard's father is also joining Real Madrid as part of the deal which has seen the Norwegian starlet move to the Bernabeu.

Martin Odegaard: Real Madrid move a dream come true

Martin Odegaard has said he believes joining Real Madrid was "the best option" as he was presented by his new club.

Odegaard, 16, had been courted by many of Europe's leading clubs and spent time with Liverpool and Bayern Munich in recent weeks, but Madrid announced on Wednesday that they had agreed a deal to sign the Norway international from Stromsgodset.
