Gozie Ugwu hit a hat-trick as Dunfermline ended a run of four Scottish League One games without a win when brushing aside bottom club Stirling with a 4-0 victory at East End Park.

The Pars were in front after just five minutes when Ugwu headed in a free-kick from out wide on the right and the striker was on target again 13 minutes later when firing in a shot which went in off the post.

Ugwu could have had a first-half treble but nodded wide as Dunfermline continued to dominate and he had another header...

Stranraer missed the chance to go second in Scottish League One after being held 1-1 at Stirling.

Stirling, who remain rooted to the bottom of the table, took the lead for just the third time this season when Phil Johnston's shot deflected over the keeper after 23 minutes.

The lead was short-lived, though, as former Bino Steven Bell was picked out by a Chris Aitken free-kick before finishing from close-range just 12 minutes later.

Callum Reidford was busy in the second half to keep out efforts from...

Ten-man Brechin made it two wins from two in Scottish League One, after beating basement side Stirling 2-1 at Glebe Park.

Robert Thomson put Brechin ahead after 27 minutes when Robert Barr teed him up to pull his shot across goal and into the bottom corner.

City were reduced to ten men just nine minutes into the second period, as Colin Hamilton was shown a second booking for a deliberate handball.

Gordon Smith took the resulting spot-kick, but Graeme Smith got across to save it to keep his side in...

Steven Doris scored the winning spot-kick after a dramatic 25-penalty shootout saw Stirling Albion snatch Scottish Cup third round glory following a 2-2 draw with Hurlford United.

Stirling goalkeeper Callum Reidford saved Jamie Wilson's sudden-death spot-kick before Doris stepped up to book the Binos a fourth-round tie at home to Raith Rovers.

Doris had already scored twice to bring Albion level at Forthbank - once in normal time and the second in the 116th minute.

Those goals came after Ross Robertson...

Hurlford came within minutes of causing a big upset in the Scottish Cup as a late Stirling goal forced a 1-1 draw.

The Scottish Junior Super League side were pegged back by their 10-man visitors in the 78th minute after appearing set for a first ever win over senior opposition.

Stewart Kean put Hurlford ahead from six yards after Callum Reidford had spilled Steven Masterton's shot in just the 10th minute.

The home team looked well-set to record a famous victory and could have been further ahead but...
