Jamie Jones will miss Stevenage's Sky Bet League Two clash with Leyton Orient as he starts a three-match ban.

The goalkeeper was sent off in Saturday's 2-1 win at Crewe, after reacting to nasty challenge from striker Chris Dagnall, who was also dismissed following the ensuing scuffles.

Chris Day is the man who will likely replace him in goal after coming off the bench, while defender Ronnie Henry will face a late fitness test after missing the victory over Crewe with a knock.

Stevenage held on for a 2-1 win at Crewe in a game which saw visiting goalkeeper Jamie Jones and Alex striker Chris Dagnall sent off.

Jones and Dagnall were dismissed after an unseemly first-half tussle. Dagnall chased a through ball but caught Jones, with both players ending up sprawled in combat on the edge of the box.

Dagnall was shown two yellow cards by referee Darren England, while the injured Jones was issued a straight red and carried off on a stretcher.

Exeter and Stevenage cancelled each other out and had to settle for a point apiece in a 1-1 draw at St James Park.

Exeter started brightly and Troy Brown saw a header cleared off the line early on, and Ryan Harley dragged a shot wide with a shot from 20 yards.

However, Stevenage broke the deadlock with their first attempt at goal on 31 minutes. Jobi McAnuff picked the ball up in midfield and ran at the heart of the defence, who backed off, and the winger fired a low shot past the recalled Bobby Olejnik...

Ten-man Stevenage made it four home wins in a row by defeating relegation-threatened Cheltenham 2-1 in Sky Bet League Two.

Matt Godden opened the scoring from the penalty spot against the run of play in the 18th minute.

Cheltenham had made the brighter start, but Emmanuel Onariase tripped Godden on the edge of the box and referee Trevor Kettle pointed to the penalty spot.

Godden stepped up to convert his 16th goal of the season and Stevenage took control, with Jobi McAnuff denied by a fine Scott Brown...

Matt Godden was on target again for Stevenage as they recorded a third win in a row with an impressive 3-0 victory over promotion-chasing Wycombe.

Godden has now scored eight times in his last eight games, and has 15 in total this season, with his penalty being sandwiched by strikes from Steven Schumacher and the excellent Tom Pett.

Sam Saunders went close early on, sending a free-kick from 25 yards narrowly wide with Jamie Jones left standing before Chairboys stopper Jamal Blackman had to push away...
