Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard wanted by Rennes on loan

Nice's Malang Sarr dedicates debut goal to victims of terrorist attack

Nice defender Malang Sarr has dedicated his winning goal against Rennes to the victims of the terrorist attack on the city on July 14.

Sarr, 17, headed home on his Ligue 1 debut as Nice beat Rennes 1-0 on the opening weekend of the new French league season.

Before the game supporters in the Allianz Riviera paid a moving tribute to the 85 people who lost their lives in the Bastille Day attack.

Werder Bremen sign Fallou Diagne, extend coach Viktor Skripnik's deal

Viktor Skripnik has signed a new two-year contract at Werder Bremen.

Werder Bremen completed the signing of defender Fallou Diagne from Rennes on Monday, shortly after giving coach Viktor Skripnik a new contract.

Diagne, 26, previously played in the Bundesliga with Freiburg for two seasons before moving the France in 2014. 

He earned his first cap for Senegal in May.

"Fallou is a very well-trained player, who has recently taken the next step in his development," said sporting director Frank Baumann.
