UCL: APOEL and Copenhagen reach third qualifying round

Andreas Cornelius and FC Copenhagen ended Crusaders' Champions League dreams on Tuesday.

Welsh champions The New Saints bowed out of the Champions League as Cypriots APOEL turned in a powerful second-leg display to book their place in the third qualifying round with a 3-0 aggregate victory.

Gibraltar side stun Brendan Rodgers' Celtic in Champions League qualifier

Brendan Rodgers' first game as Celtic boss ended in a humiliating 1-0 defeat to Gibraltar's Lincoln Red Imps in the first leg of their second round Champions League qualifier on Tuesday.

Celtic laboured in the searing heat of the goalless first 45 minutes and were then stunned when Lee Casciaro, who had scored Gibraltar's first international goal against Scotland at Hampden in 2015, sensationally put the part-timers ahead in the 47th minute.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp welcomes Allan back after title-winning SJK loan

Young Brazilian midfielder Allan signed for Liverpool in September from Internacional.

Liverpool starlet Allan Rodrigues de Souza is eager build on a title-winning loan spell in Finland after being welcomed back to Anfield by Jurgen Klopp.

Allan, 18, joined Liverpool in September from Brazilian side Internacional before joining Finnish side Seinajoen Jalkapallokerho on loan.

The midfielder scored two goals and made another five in eight games for SJK to help the club to their first ever Veikkausliiga title ahead of Finnish giants HJK Helsinki.
