James Wesolowski could make his first league appearance of the season for Shrewsbury when Burton visit.

The midfielder played in his first game since January after returning from a cruciate knee injury against Crystal Palace in midweek. Nathaniel Knight-Percival is unlikely to feature after his own long-term knee injury but is pencilled in to face Oldham in next week's Johnstone's Paint Trophy game.

Glenn Murray celebrates after converting from the penalty spot in Crystal Palace's victory.

Glenn Murray's extra-time penalty sparked a Crystal Palace goal glut as Alan Pardew's men eventually overcame Shrewsbury Town 4-1.

Replacement striker Murray buried Palace's second spot-kick of a low-quality Capital One Cup second-round clash at Selhurst Park, finally breaking Shrewsbury's stubborn resistance.

Chung-yong Lee rolled home minutes after Murray's strike, Wilfried Zaha then heading a fourth, to leave the gutsy League One visitors wholly deflated after a grafting effort in south London.

James Collins scored the equaliser as Shrewsbury earned a deserved 1-1 draw at Oldham.

Liam Kelly despatched a 52nd-minute penalty to open the scoring after David Dunn was tripped in the box by Shrewsbury full-back Matt Tootle.

But Collins levelled in the 70th minute, latching on to a goal kick from Jayson Leutwiler and skipping round goalkeeper Joel Coleman to roll home with his left foot.

Jermaine Grandison and Mark Ellis headed off target for the visitors from early corner kicks, but Oldham grew...

Chesterfield deservedly picked up their first away win of the season with Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Sam Morsy on target in a 2-1 win at promoted Shrewsbury.

The visitors should really have been in front by the interval, but were unable to take any of three presentable chances.

Experienced striker Ebanks-Blake headed an inviting cross from Dan Jones narrowly wide before Dan Gardner fired a low shot just off target from 15 yards.

Lee Novak was the next man to threaten for the Spireites when he cut in from...

Shrewsbury fought back to earn a point in a 1-1 draw at Bradford in front of a bumper crowd with a goal a minute after half-time from Tyrone Barnett.

After a scrappy, largely uneventful first half, Bradford deservedly went in front two minutes before the interval with a goal created and finished by Billy Clarke.

He burst down the middle before playing the ball out to the left, where summer signing Steven Davies returned it into the middle for Clarke to score with a close-range shot.

Clarke and defender...
