Simon Grayson will shuffle his Preston pack against Shrewsbury because of international call-ups.

Central defender Bailey Wright is with Australia, who play Belgium on Thursday night, while Jamaica's Chris Humphrey and Gibraltar's Scott Wiseman are also away with their countries.

Winger Kyel Reid could make his long-awaited debut after playing a couple of reserve games following a knee injury.

Defender Paul Huntington, yet to appear this season, could benefit from the squad rotation but Lee Holmes ...

Shrewsbury's excellent start to the season continued with a double strike from Jordan Clark wrapping up a comfortable 2-0 win over 10-man Luton.

Unbeaten Shrewsbury, buoyed by their midweek Capital One Cup victory at Premier League Leicester, came flying out of the blocks and took the lead as early as the third minute.

Connor Goldson delivered a raking 50 yard throughball which was impressively taken down by Clark before the midfielder rolled the ball past advancing keeper Mark Tyler for his first...

Leicester City can't take games lightly

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson contends that the Foxes have plenty of positives to take away from their 2-0 defeat by Chelsea.

Nigel Pearson maintains he respects the League Cup. But his second-string XI certainly didn't against Shrewsbury Town as Leicester City went down 1-0 on Tuesday. You have to give the plucky League Two side credit, as they joined Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Manchester City as just the fourth visiting team to win at Leicester's King Power Stadium in the past 12 months.

Leicester lacked both intensity and desire in match. They were complacent. You might expect this from their strongest XI. Afte...

Andy Mangan celebrates after netting the only goal of the game to send Shrewsbury through.

Andy Mangan handed Shrewsbury a shock Capital One Cup 1-0 victory over Premier League new-boys Leicester.

Mangan, a free-transfer signing from Forest Green Rovers during the summer, scored the only goal of the night at the King Power Stadium to send the League Two Shrews into the third round.

It was nothing more than Micky Mellon's side deserved as there was often little to determine which team was in the top flight and the other three leagues below.

With one point from their opening two matches...

Substitute Emile Sinclair rescued a point for Northampton Town in their 1-1 draw against 10-man Shrewsbury Town.

Northampton began well with on-loan signing Joel Byrom going close on his debut with a shot from the edge of the box which went wide, while Kaid Mohamed saw his low strike from 18 yards saved by Jayson Leutwiler.

Shrewsbury were reduced to 10 men in the 27th minute when Liam Lawrence was shown a straight red card by referee Darren Deadman for a challenge on Byrom.

Marc Richards went clos...
